Emoji Gifs!

As I adjust to teaching graphic design it can sometimes feel like I'm already getting in a rut of teaching the same thing. Typography, layout, basic Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator & InDesign tools... basically, ways to create art on a computer. So I decided to spice things up a little and teach some VERY basic animation techniques using Adobe Photoshop. (I'm in no way a pro at this, but I've been teaching myself after all these years a new skill.)

My students learned today about the history of the .gif and how to create quick animated .gifs in photoshop. Although this was just a mini-assignment using pre-made emojis, I look forward to what they create next week when they are taking a more creative approach!
