All fired (up) and ready to grow!
Good news folks! Our ceramic chia pets are finally out of the kiln and ready to grow some seeds! Yay! I decided to document this whole process just as I will be asking my students to do in visual journals: with pictures that show daily observations and with written descriptions. Tonight the bisque ware pieces will soak in water and the Chia seeds are soaking too. Tomorrow, students will paint their pieces with watercolors, spread seeds in the groves, and start recording the progress of their plants.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that in a few sunny days we see some sprouts peaking through!
